WEEDS ARE JUST PLANTS IN PLACES WE INTENDED FOR OTHER THINGS!
an interactive class on “weeds” and other aggressive/successful plants that thrive in Louisville. We will be focusing on the traffic calmers at the Clifton Center for this particular class and pulling out the plants that the center would rather not support in the calmers while looking into the historical, medicinal, culinary and bioremediative uses of those plants. Other topics to be covered are the colonization of the Americas, resistance to it, the role that insect pollinators and fungal allies play in ecological integrity and how to support all of these things simultaneously! some food and refreshments will be provided.d
Howdy yall, the Freewheel is back in action. Our third organizational meeting of this season will be this friday from 11-12 at the Collective Space which is on 1103 2nd st. (at the st. catherine, 2nd st. intersection).

Bloodroot is used in herbal medicine in very small doses, mainly for bronchial problems and severe throat infections. Bloodroot paste is used externally for skin diseases, warts, and tumors. For ringworm apply the fluid extract. Bloodroot is said to repel insects. The root is used in as an anesthetic, cathartic, emetic, emmenagogue, expectorant, diuretic, febrifuge, sedative, stimulant and tonic.
